End the public funding of Bronze Age Bullies

e Souza in the Gnat Post, comes out of the closet confessional swinging at the Liberals seemingly ham-worded anti-bullying legislation. From what I’ve read, the schools, all publicly funded schools, have to accept whatever name the students come up with for their clubs. The Fuck-Fuckity-Fuck-Fucker Club springs to mind or maybe Tits for Tats – for dem ebil fornicators and girls with tattoos respectively. It is high school after all. I managed to get ‘fuck head’ into our graduating year-book using spoonerism, Huck Fead.

The Padre offers some rather tepid examples of his own after he wastes no time in whinging aboot persecution by subheading his rant “The bureaucrats crusade”. Us poor Catholics being genocided by the big bad government just like the Catholics did back in the day to the Muslims and Jews. And Cathars, and…

…“Acne-clear skin alliance”? How about the “scholars-dullards” club?

Here’s his real point:

Should the government mandate the “birth-control/abstinence club” or the “promiscuity-virginity club” or the “abortion-childbirth alliance” wherein both options would be presented as morally equivalent?

It’s not that the phrase “Gay Straight Alliance” is absurd or obscene, although he tries by clumsily pairing what he considers opposites. No, the issue is having those two words side by side because it makes them morally equivalent. Therefore, students cannot identify their clique in a way that directly addresses the issue for the club, the bullying of gay students by straight students. De Souza agrees bullying is bad, le Pater Kirk teaches this.

Remember, in his wee, Dark Aged, Catechismically trained mind, one word goes to heaven, the other burns in hell. Just like you do if you put a little rubber thing on the end of your cock to prevent issue, or have had sex, or been a slight nine year old and pregnant with your stepdaddy’s twins. Thank you, Jeebus. Therefore, saying “Hey, gey-boi. I fart in your general direction.” is bullying. While saying, “You know my dear colleague, you’re brimstone bound for the sin of who you are.”, is not bullying. It’s religious freedom.

This whole thing is absurd. Why are female and LGBT students even part of the equation? The religionauts are quite correct aboot the desires of doG. Untermenschen all, of varying degrees, according to the Buybull. The only reason women aren’t as deserving of the ostracism heaped on teh ebil geys, is their utility as receptacles of sacred sperm and the subsequent whelping of cannon fodder/breeding stock.

Knowing this, how can anyone attend? And yet, there they are genuflecting with those who not only faithfully believe they’ll burn and that women caused us to fall out of favour With The Great Maker, but teach them as the gospel of The Great Celestial Bully

De Souza woulda been spouting the traditional line he is now against civil rights in the __60s – 18 or 19, you pick the prefix.

“…measures are being used to effect a theological change in Catholic teaching in the schools. That is beyond the competence of the state, a violation of the constitution and an egregious assault on religious liberty.”

The Abrahamic Trio have traditionally taught slavery is all well and good. Jeebus clearly favours it. Shall we reboot that tradition, make it unwrong in the name of religious liberty? Dontcha think? Or don’t you?

“and mandating clubs which at least implicitly will advocate that traditional Christian (and Jewish and Muslim) teaching regarding homosexual acts is wrong.”

De Souza writes as if this mandate just came up out of the blue and not in response to the church’s reaction to students already trying “to do just that” and use “Gay Straight Alliance”. Here he attempts to admonish the Provincial Red Clowns:

“The trustees of Catholic school boards — who are elected, it should be remembered, just as are the MPPs at Queen’s Park — have objected.”

Well, not quite “just as” eh Ray Jay? Everyone votes for MPPs. Only the flock sheeple doing the Vatican Rag get to vote for these not so very trustees. Isn’t that so, Ray? Funny how you seemed to forget that detail.

“The Church is dead set against conferring any sign of approval on homosexuality, which it considers ‘intrinsically disordered,’ but is also opposed to any hint of discrimination or insensitivity,” wrote my colleague Kelly McParland. “It simply wants to deal with the situation in its own way. Cardinal Thomas Collins wonders ‘why a piece of legislation is being used to micromanage the naming of student clubs.’ The reason is that the province has seized on the fight against bullying with evangelistic zeal and will brook no opposition to its crusade.”

Crusade is an apt word. But not evangelistic. The government certainly has a different gospel it wants to enforce. Yet it does not propose as a preacher, but imposes as a bureaucrat.

“Dead set against” when the students were responding to the bullying induced suicides of homosexual “intrinsically disordered” students. Nice. And not discriminatory or insensitive in any way. Again, “ha, ha you’re gay” is bullying and “ha, ha you’re intrinsically disordered” (with the implicit roasting sinfully) is not.

The Bureaucrats of Theocracy, for that is what Ray & Tom are – lower and upper flock management in Vatican Inc. – want “to deal with the situation in its own way”. With as much moral competence as with the child rapists in their midst no doubt. They came down real hard on that rug as they swept the kiddie diddlers under it.

Or paid the priestly pervs to slither beneath while looking the other way, even as the vermin crawled out from time to time to take another victim.

Here’s the newly minted Man in a Red Dress for NYC taking moral action beyond the competence of the state when he was a mid-level bureaucrat:

Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan of New York authorized payments of as much as $20,000 to sexually abusive priests as an incentive for them to agree to dismissal from the priesthood when he was the archbishop of Milwaukee.

With $1250/mth pension and until re-employed, benefits . When confronted at the time, Dolan did what any morally competent mid-level bureaucrat would do. He lied through his teeth, calling the allegations “false, preposterous and unjust.”:

“The first known payment in Milwaukee was to Franklyn Becker, a former priest with many victims. Cardinal Dolan said in response to a reporter’s question at the time that the payment was “an act of charity,” so that Mr. Becker could pay for health insurance. “

In the meantime, the Milwaukee Archdiocese has filed for bankruptcy after already having paid out more than $16 million in damages, and facing at least 23 more victims. Ya gotta love paperwork:

The newly revealed document is the minutes of a meeting of the finance council of the Milwaukee archdiocese from March 7, 2003, which Cardinal Dolan attended. The archdiocese was facing a flood of potential lawsuits by people claiming abuse, and the church’s insurance company was refusing to cover the costs because it said the church had been negligent. The minutes noted that “unassignable priests” — those suspected of abuse — were still receiving full salaries.

The minutes say that those at the meeting discussed a proposal to “offer $20,000 for laicization ($10,000 at the start and $10,000 at the completion the process).” Instead of salary, they would receive a $1,250 monthly pension benefit, and, until they found another job, health insurance.”

And wonder why innocent people pay out so much money in damages, or if any one mentioned having them ya know, maybe, arrested? Involve the police? Funny, how the Boy Scout organization, another group deriving it’s morals from a higher authority, similarly coddles the diddlers, showing their utmost respect for the victims.

A rep for a victims advocacy group asks an incisive question of the Archbishop who replaced Dolan:

“In what other occupation, especially one working with families and operating schools and youth programs, is an employee given a cash bonus for raping and sexually assaulting children?”

What does the Top Man in this holey mob have to say about homosexuality:

“Although the particular inclination of the homosexual person is not a sin, it is a more or less strong tendency ordered to an intrinsic moral evil, and thus the inclination itself must be seen as an objective disorder.”

“It is deplorable that homosexual persons have been and are the object of violent malice in speech or in action. Such treatment deserves condemnation from the church’s pastors wherever it occurs… The intrinsic dignity of each person must always be respected in work, in action and in law.” — “Letter to the Bishops of the Catholic Church on the Pastoral Care of Homosexual Persons,” 1986, National Catholic Reporter

Not a sin, but an objective disorder of intrinsic moral evil. Cured by embracing Catholicism, no doubt. That last sentence sounds really, really respectfully nice, but Ratzinger:

“The Cardinal sanctioned Vatican efforts in March 2005 that successfully blocked recognition of gay human rights by the United Nations, effectively endorsing continued homophobic persecution in two-thirds of the world… He has queer blood on his holy hands,” concluded Mr Tatchell.

Which tightly spoons with his previous utterances:

“When civil legislation is introduced to protect behavior to which no one has any conceivable right, neither the church nor society at large should be surprised when other distorted notions and practices gain ground and irrational and violent reactions increase.” – “Letter to the Bishops of the Catholic Church on the Pastoral Care of Homosexual Persons,” 1986, National Catholic Reporter

Not only going to hell, AND no “conceivable” human rights while you’re here but don’t be surprised by violence in response to trying to do something about it. IOW STFU.

If you disagree:

“all support should be withdrawn from any organisations which seek to undermine the teachings of the Church, which are ambiguous about it, or which ignore it entirely”.— “Letter to the Bishops of the Catholic Church on the Pastoral Care of Homosexual Persons,” 1986, National Catholic Reporter

“The Archdiocese should withdraw all support from any group, which does not unequivocally accept the teaching of the Magisterium concerning the intrinsic evil of homosexual activity.” – Letter to Seattle Archbishop Raymond Hunthausen, September 30, 1985

Perhaps Ontario can learn from His Holeyness and withdraw all support from His group. Now. Let the Vatican fund them, so they can freely go on teaching children aboot heaven:
